Writing Your Description
Tell travelers what makes your gym great
Your description is your chance to connect with potential guests. A good description answers the question: "Why should I work out here?"
What to Include
- What type of gym you are (CrossFit, weightlifting, etc.)
- Your gym's atmosphere and community
- Signature equipment or unique features
- Who your gym is best suited for
- Any special instructions for drop-in visitors
Do This
- • Be specific about your equipment
- • Mention parking or access details
- • Share your gym's vibe and culture
- • Keep it concise (150-300 words)
Avoid This
- • Generic marketing speak
- • Listing every piece of equipment
- • Making promises you can't keep
- • Using ALL CAPS or excessive punctuation

"Welcome to Iron House Fitness—a no-frills powerlifting and bodybuilding gym in downtown Austin. We have over 15,000 lbs of free weights, multiple squat racks, competition benches, and a dedicated deadlift platform.
